Artivism MX is an initiative by Live Art Mexico and Huerto Roma Verde to launch a residency program in Mexico City inside the Civil-visionary Dwelling at the heart of Roma neighborhood located in the Huerto Roma Verde who is opening its doors to receive artists in residency that have a critical and prepositive focus.
Looking for projects that link the artists with the local community of Roma neighborhood and with the collectives and individuals associated to Huerto Roma Verde.
The proposals could be multidisciplinary but surely will have to make use of the infrastructure already in place like: the ceramic workshop, the textile workshop or the sustainable trades workshop.

Civil-visionary Dwelling
Civil-visionary people are those hopeful souls that participate in emancipatory movements. Such people with an ecological and political conscience are philosophically necessary for society because they connect theory with practice whilst existing within complex conditions. Civil-visionary people crete liberating solutions via art and creativity.
Such movements are able to connect the social and ecological crisis, local struggles and global battles, individual improvement with collective political action.2
Huerto Roma Verde and La Cuadra AC have generated a residency for civil-visionary people that wish to contribute to the socio-political and ecological proposals of these organizations and associated social and environmental causes.

- Artivismo MX will only compromise to provide artists with lodging, practical orientation for the production of the project and photographic documentation for all residency proceses.
