Epicenter Revolutions is a performance event that investigates internal transformations within performance art. All artists in this project are transgender and/or non-binary. In their works, the artists examine how internal transformations feel within durational action(s), how they support transgender and non-binary identity, and how they act as a form of political resistance. The performers in Epicentre example of how gender diverse bodies simply occupying space is an act of resistance towards heteronormative ideals in which everyday, lived experiences guide the construction of identity and community in public and counter-public spaces. This event illuminates how transgender and non-binary bodies engage in durational performative action to listen, activate, and understand the personal and political affects of their lived experience. The artists insist that the acknowledgment and engagement of micro-changes felt by transgender and non-binary people creates resistance to oppression, heteronormativity, and gender binaries, ultimately creating systematic change, social justice, and united spaces where non-normative identities can flourish.

Lechedevirgen (they/them). Terrible and prodigious union of tentacles, hooves, antennae, claws and fins", Lechedevirgen (Qro, Mx) is a non-binary artist in constant mutation, specialized in hybrid and expanded art forms, combining performance, critical writing, image creation , photography and video. Cuir representative of the Mexican counterculture, his work reflects on sexual dissidence, non-human entities, the occult, body and gender studies, illness, violence and death. Had presented performances at festivals and international exhibitions such as "Radical Imaginations" at the Museum of Modern Art of Mexico, XI Hemispheric Meeting of Performance and Politics, Rapid Pulse International Performance Festival, Buzzcut Performance Festival, Performatorium Festival of Queer Performance, ILASSA 40, OUTsider Fest and the CEREMONIA 2022 festival, in Europe, Canada, the United States, Colombia and Mexico.

Aquarius Funkk (they/them) is a queer AfroFuturist artist residing in Guadalajara and San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, originating from the interplanetary realms and creatively conceived in Portland, Maine. Their interdisciplinary practice spans performance, video, photography, digital art, makeup, and wearable art. Embracing synchronicities of the universe, Aquarius explores the body's possibilities through a Black, radical, queer, futurist lens, deconstructing the politics of gender, race, sexuality, identity, and class. Their work, influenced by Black American culture, queer experiences, high fashion, and speculative fiction, manifests as durational installations and static images. Rooted in radical tenderness and body intelligence, Aquarius draws from vogue ballroom, neo-burlesque, and freestyle dance traditions. A member of La Pocha Nostra since 2016, they have showcased performance films internationally, including "A Letter To America, From a Parallel Universe" and "Deep Fake." Currently developing "The Lone Flamingo," a performance autobiography, Aquarius continues to shape narratives of solitude and spiritual transformation.

Holly Timpener (they/them) is a queer, non-binary performance artist working with themes of resistance and transformation. Timpener’s works investigate issues related to gender, intimacy, trauma, and the body, while “The Personal Is Political” is embodied in a modern sociopolitical context. They have presented work for Month of Performance Art Berlin, The Art Gallery of Ontario, SummerWorks, The Bronx Museum, Leonard & Bina Ellen Art Gallery, La Centrale, Venice International Performance Art Week, among others. They are also honored to have worked several times with La Pocha Nosta at Montreal Arts Interculturels, the Taos Paseo Festival, and Encuentro in Mexico City.

Lum Alvarez, a non-binary BIPOC artist from Mexico City, explores the intricate relationship between the human body and its presence in public spaces. Passionate about challenging societal norms, Lum uses the body as both a medium and subject to spotlight dissident and non-normative bodies. Their art delves into how marginalized bodies navigate the public sphere, resisting societal constraints and shaping unique narratives. Lum seeks to prompt viewers to question preconceived notions about bodies and identity, fostering conversations on inclusivity and the celebration of diverse bodies. Drawing from experience in theater, somatics, dance, and figure modeling, Lum creates performance pieces that include and highlight historically marginalized identities. With a vision of building spaces where everyone thrives as they are, Lum's work aims to inspire hope and reassurance for a more inclusive and accepting future.

Federico Tello (they/them) is a cigana and performance artist born in Mexico City in '87. As a non-binary, trans-spirited poet and nature lover, they draw inspiration from ritual and alchemy across the Americas. With a belief in love as a guiding principle, Federico's performance work centers on ritual and ceremony, informed by training in afro-Brazilian dance, tarot and runes divination, sound therapy, and paganism. They are a core member of La Pocha Nostra since 2020, serving as the Manager of Mexican Programs & Operations and embodying the role of Pocha Drag Queen Extraordinaire. Additionally, Federico has been a core member of El Club Mini Venganzas, a theater and performance troupe in Mexico City, since 2009. Their artistic exploration encompasses diverse spiritual practices, contributing to a rich body of research, poetry, and performance art.
